02 Why we began

Six people.
One big dream.

Emily's Kitchen began with a belief: a person's future should not be limited by where their schooling ended.

We give Basotho youth practical culinary skills they can use to find work, create opportunities and make an honest living. Here, every lesson is grounded in discipline, respect and humility.

“I want to be remembered as a mentor and a chef who used food to change lives.” — Ntsoaki Mamoliehi Tlai-Tlai Ranko
